Valley Life Recreation will be hosting group rides, hikes and activities at the trailhead for our first ever Trail Pride event, meant to reinforce our commitment to Outdoors For Everyone. Whether you are a member of our 2SLGBTQ+ community or an ally, please join us for a couple hours of great community time at the trail park! This event is free to all. Please join us on June 22, 2024!

August 18th 8:00 am - 8:00 pm: Ride Like Ole 2024

This will be a unique chance for everyone to experience everything that our friend, the late Ole Heie, loved about trails. In his 12 years on this earth, few things brought Ole more joy than being out on the trails and bringing others along with him. With the support of Ole’s family, Ride Like Ole is now an event where everyone—from novice to experienced—can join together and celebrate Ole’s story while crushing some personal goals on the trail. We also guarantee this will be the happiest trail event you’ve ever been to! Registration details coming soon!

August 25th (time to be announced): Squirrel Hills Chainring Massacre.

2024 will launch the very first gravel cycling race out of the Minnedosa area with a start/finish at the Squirrel Hills Trail Park. Organized by gravel cycling veteran Robert Helms, with support from Valley Life Recreation, this will be the second gravel race in Westman this summer (July’s Mooswa Meat Grinder is the first). Registration details for this gravel race are coming soon!

September 28th (time to be announced): National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.
Minnedosa’s inaugural day of programming to honour and recognize the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation will take place on the land at the Squirrel Hills Trail Park. More details will be announced soon.
