On behalf of our client, we are presently recruiting for a Maintenance Planner to join their team. This non-supervisory position requires an individual with maintenance experience combined with excellent planning and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Is responsible for the development, implementation monitoring, and documentation requirements of a Master Preventative Maintenance schedule for plant equipment based on a sound Preventive and Predictive Maintenance strategy.
Prepares, releases and schedules preventative maintenance jobs of all equipment in the plant. The Master PM schedule is to be developed jointly with the Maintenance Supervisors.
Coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisors in monitoring progress and accomplishment of work orders through an effective work order control system. Monitors and reschedules backlog of work orders through the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsible for filing and proper documentation of the following: work order file, backlog follow-up, machinery data file, condition monitoring, cycle maintenance, equipment repair history, list of high value, indent, insurance parts, plant, equipment, fabrication drawings, maintenance & parts manual.
Prepares the following reports: stoppages ranking reports, preventative maintenance schedule, maintenance management reports, repairs & maintenance costs, and maintenance dashboard.
Participates in shutdown maintenance action planning by providing technical information and data, assists in analyzing causes of machine breakdown by providing factual data.
Assists in cost control and in the preparation of annual repairs and maintenance budgets.
Reports to the Maintenance Manager
Requirements:
Excellent planning, analytical and organizational skills.
Computer literate, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Technology graduate with equipment maintenance experience.
Familiar with mechanical, electrical, health & safety, CFIA/USDA statutory regulations an asset.
Knowledge of various Preventative and Proactive Maintenance Strategies essential.
Knowledge of CMMS, MS Office required, AutoCAD, and MS project an asset.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
