On behalf of our client, we are presently recruiting for a Junior Project Coordinator to join their team. This position requires an individual with experience in handling all aspects of projects as well as the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously from conception to close-out.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage projects, primarily those on capital plan.
Provide AutoCAD support to the various functional groups within the facility.
Provide technical resource to the operations group for engineering solutions.
Assist Plant Manager, Maintenance and Production Manager in developing and justifying capital expenditure requests.
Investigate practical, cost-effective and innovative alternatives for plant issues.
Participate in project, operations and other meetings as required.
Incorporate Six Sigma Principles into everyday activities.
Supervise contractors when on site.
Create project budget based on agreed project scope.
Form and manage project schedules.
Requirements:
E.I.T. or Technologist with 2-5 years project and or AutoCAD experience.
Proven ability to conceptualize, effectively communicate, and implement solutions.
Must have proven track record of handling multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously.
Team player with the ability to lead, listen and communicate effectively.
Strong organizational, analytical and planning abilities combined with practical business sense.
Food industry experience preferred (knowledge of meat, food and further processing an asset).
